Aaron Kinslow - Aaron has been coaching goalies since 2002 at all levels from the Crookston Youth hockey association, West Fargo Youth Hockey Association, Fargo Youth Hockey Association, Mitch Korn’s goalie camps, Junior and College Hockey Exposure Showcase, Salt Lake City Goalie Academy, Angels Hockey Association, Northwest Regulators AAA and Milwaukee Jr Admirals AAA, Fargo-Moorhead Jets and Bismarck Bobcats of the NAHL, Salt Lake City Moose of the WSHL, Milwaukee School Of Engineering and University of Minnesota, Crookston DIII teams. His playing career started in Moorhead, MN playing for MYHA and High school hockey on up to MJHL Tier III for the Minnesota Ice Hawks to the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL and then at University of Minnesota, Crookston DIII.  He currently resides in Moorhead with his wife and son's. He is the founder/owner of the Goalie Academy.

This is a hand selected experienced staff that is put together to provide the best quality of instruction and supervision. I guarantee that our staff will be more than just coaches or players … they will be teachers! 
 
Hanna Shultz - Hanna grew up in Prior Lake, MN where she played youth and High School hockey for the Prior Lake Lakers. Unfortunately, her goalie career ended with High School hockey after a career ending back injury. Although her days of playing were cut short, her love of the game did not diminish. Thus began Hanna’s coaching career, she started coaching in the cities under a goalie coach by the name of David Cole. When she left for college to pursue a bachelor’s degree in nursing at Minnesota State University Moorhead, she continued to coach goalies within the Moorhead Youth Hockey Association. Currently, she is finishing up her bachelor’s in nursing where she will then start her Doctorate in Anesthesia. She is coaching high school goalies with the Fargo Girls Davies team. In addition to coaching youth hockey in the surrounding associations in Fargo, ND through the Goalie Academy.

Drew Luhning - Drew has been playing hockey for many years, starting in Wadena, MN. He knew goalie was the position for him, because the gear was cool. He later on moved to Fergus Falls and stayed until he graduated from High School. Drew tied a school record for number of wins in a high school career and also made the All Section and All Conference teams his senior year. After high school he tried out for a few junior teams and also started a landscaping business. In 2016 he started goalie coaching and realized the impact he can have on young goalies development. Drew has worked with Stauber’s goalcrease, Goalies Inc., Pro-hybird, the Goalie Academy, and Dave Peterson’s top 25 camp. All these programs have taught him many key aspects on how to play this position and to have success consistently at this position. Coaching goalies is his passion and he does not just coach how he played. Drew coaches based upon the newest knowledge of goaltending. He feels he is constantly learning more and more. This is one of the most evolving positions in any sport. Drew feels very fortunate to coach as much as he has at the age of 21. At the end of the day there is no wrong way to stop a puck, however, he wants to instill consistency, control, and confidence with all the goalies he coaches so they can dominate the blue paint during games. 

Trevor Lowney - Trevor grew up playing hockey in the surrounding area of South Range, MI and graduating from Jeffers High School. After graduating high school he played for the Williston State Tetons ACHA team and then after graduation from Williston. Then played for the Portage Lake Pioneers in the GLHL. While in highschool he ran goalie coaching for the local youth hockey program on-ice and off-ice. Since graduation he has been working with the Goalies, Inc. program doing development camps all over the nation. 


John Sellie-Hanson - Born and raised in Fargo, ND. Played my youth hockey for the Fargo North Raiders. Played 3 years of high school hockey for Fargo North High. Played 2 seasons of junior hockey for the Wisconsin Dells Ducks out of the Minnesota Junior Hockey League(MNJHL). Played 4 years of college hockey at Hamline University(NCAA D3) in St. Paul, MN. Won a conference championship(MIAC) and made a trip to the national tournament with Hamline during the 2014-15 hockey season. I just finished up playing my 5th year of minor professional hockey. I’ve played 4 seasons over in Sweden and 1 season in the Federal Hockey League.


Lance Leonard - From Moorhead playing three years for the Spuds collecting over 50 varsity wins including one at hockey day Minnesota and a class AA state runner-up title. I was drafted by the Lincoln Stars and traded to the Omaha Lancers before calling it a career. I’ve coached periodically over the past 5 years and am now finishing up my final semester at MSUM where I’m majoring in health and medical science and have intentions of attending chiropractic school in the near future.

Sidney Swanson - Sydney has played hockey for 12+ years. She played for Minot, ND High school team from 2010 to 2014 where she was a captain of her team during her senior year. During Sydney’s senior year she was a member of the all-state team and West Region. Sydney then moved to play for the NDSU women’s hockey team (ACHA, Division 2) from 2014-Spring 2018.  She won a national championship in 2015 and was a member of the All-American team and All–Tournament team. Sydney is currently on her 3rd year coaching the 12u girls’ team in West Fargo and participates in a local men’s league games.

Mitch Campion - Mitch grew up playing in Marshall, MN where I was an all-state and all conference goaltender my senior year of high school. After high school he pursued coaching and academics and obtained an MS in electrical engineering. His coaching experience includes goaltending coach for Fargo Davies 2014-2015 and for University of Jamestown Men’s Division 1 and division 2 teams from 2018-2002.

 
Jake Sumner - Jake, grew up playing goalie in California for AAA and AA hockey teams. When he graduated High School, he made the Breeze Point North Stars Jr. A team in the na3hl for two years. Then was recruited to play for University of Minnesota-Crookston where he is a Criminal Justice major.  Outside of studies and playing hockey Jake also enjoys coaching goalies. He started coaching while he was in high school and has continued since moving to Fargo, ND. Jake has had the opportunity to work alongside JP Lamoureux with his goalie camp programs JPL goaltending and also with the Goalie Academy over the past summers. 

Jay Brekke - Jay started goalie coaching in 2005, for the Fargo Raiders hockey program, when the Raiders merged with the Flyers he continued with the newly formed association the Freeze. To this day Jay has continued with goalie coaching within the Fargo Freeze association and has assisted with the West Fargo Hockey Association.  Jay played high school hockey for Jamestown, ND and after went on to play junior hockey in Waterloo Blackhawks and Sioux City Musketeers in the USHL. After juniors Jay found his way to Northland CC and then to NDSU. His passion for instructing young goalies can be seen every time he is on the ice.

Aaron Walski - Aaron played his H.S. hockey for Fargo North where he was the primary starting goalie during the 2000-2002. Aaron led his team to the 2001 state championship game where his team lost 2-1 in a 5 overtime game.  After H.S. during the 2002-2003 season, Aaron played junior hockey for a team in Traverse City, MI where he was named rookie of the year for the league.  During the 2003-2004 season, Aaron played for the Lincoln Stars and the following season (2004-2005) he played for the Bismarck Bobcats.  After his junior hockey career was over Aaron was asked to walk on to the University of North Dakota where was able to earn a scholarship his junior and senior years.  Currently Aaron is a goalie coach for the Fargo Freeze organization and enjoys taking what he learned during his many years of playing hockey and helping young goalies in Fargo.


Mason Campion - Mason played hockey at Marshall High School in Marshall, MN. He has had many accomplishments during his high school career with all-conference and all-section goalie awards and two state records at the Minnesota State High School tournament. The records are most saves in a regulation game and most saves in a period. After graduation from High school he enrolled at Jamestown & then transferred to NDSU and will graduate with an industrial engineering degree. While studying engineering at Jamestown and NDSU he played ACHA D1 collegiate hockey and is currently the starter at NDSU. squad prior to attending NDSU, and I now am the starter for the NDSU team. He started coaching with the Fargo Freeze and Aaron Kinslow 3 years ago and with the Goalie Academy. He also does private lessons and other goalie instruction camps surrounding the area. Mason currently resides in Fargo, ND and is active in the area and the hockey community.

Kiana Flaig - Kiana grew up in Roseau, MN. She started playing hockey at 5 years old. and at age 9, she got the opportunity to put on goalie pads and have never looked back. Her youth hockey career and 3 years of high school hockey were played as a Roseau Ram. She is currently playing NCAA Divison III college hockey at Concordia College - Moorhead. Kiana, will be graduating from Concordia next spring with a major in Clinical Laboratory Science and a minor in Chemistry. I have always wanted to start goalie coaching and since my collegiate hockey career is coming to a close she wanted to start teaching the knowledge she have gained over the years to younger goalies.

Madi Kisor - Madi is from St. Peter, MN. She has been in hockey for 8 years and a goalie for 6 years. She started playing hockey for the Minnesota River Bulldogs in Le Sueur for 6 years. Madi is now a junior at Concordia College Moorhead and play on their women's hockey team. She is majoring in Chemistry and Mathematics in hopes to be a dentist.

Glenn Key   - Grew up in St. Louis, Mo. Started playing goalie at age 11. Played 2 years of varsity high school hockey in MO. Then moved to Detroit Lakes, MN and played 2 years of varsity high school hockey there. As a goalie coach I started out working with goalies in Detroit Lakes. Since I moved to the FM area I have coached for the Fargo Freeze at the Peewee and Bantam levels. For the last 3 years I have coached for the West Fargo Stampede at the Squirt, Peewee and Bantam levels. In the summer 2021 I coached goalies at Hoist and for the last 4 years I have coached at the Goalie Acadamy.

Noah Griffith - Noah, has been a goalie coach since 2016 working with the Puck Stoppers and the Goalie Academy. His approach to teaching goalies by teaching them fundamental skills and what dedication looks like. He also understands the importance of getting to know your community of goalies in your local associations. Noah is currently studying at Concordia College and is majoring in PE/Health Education. He is excited to be a teacher and work with kids, young adults and others in enriching their lives in health education.

Drake Decker - Drake is currently playing club hockey at NDSU and this is in his second year involved. He has been playing goalie since 2008 and had a successful junior gold career in high school.  During his last year of high school, 2019-2020 it was one of his best years at goalie as his team was on chase to win the state tournament, however Covid-19 canceled the end of the season tournament. Drake has been goalie coaching since playing in high school and in Fargo for the Goalie Academy.
